How long does it take to prepare everything before you start shoot live?

Three months - It takes six weeks before we start promoting the live show, then six weeks of promotion via email and banners, building up anticipation before we start broadcasting.

Our job is to prepare, in advance, a six-episode live show series, utilising 20+ segment ideas and ensuring that each segment is scripted or at the very least the segment host is very clear what they’re going to say.

It is also important that you’re in agreement with the overall show, so it’s important you see what has been created in advance before you Go Live!

How much work do we need to put in

Probably not as much as you think.  As you can see from the Go Live! page, we have created a considerable live stream framework.

In the early stages, we come up with the plan and have 20+ segment ideas to choose from.  Once we decide between us which segments best suit each show, we first identift who would be the best person to present that segment and let them get on with it.

After all, your member of staff will be the expert and used to talking about that perticular 'segment' of the show.  And it's only for a few minutes, it won't be a long speech.

Where do you shoot the show

We can shoot the show series in various locations:

  1. Your offices; using an existing office or meeting room, as long as its large enough.  The larger the better, as we have to include our team and some of yours, plus all the equipment and lighting etc.
  2. A serviced office such as a Regus, Spaces or WeWork.
  3. Hire a studio
How do you set up the studio

Ensuring there is enough space and depth in the office to shoot easily and set up the cameras, there are two options, irrespective of the studio location.

The first is to make up the area as a typical ‘set’, using props such as desks, lamps, computers, pictures and so on.

The second option is to ‘go green’. We can set up a virtual studio in any room using green screen and virtual background technology to totally change anyone’s impression of your business.

This can look like the set of a breakfast show to a regular evening news program, all based upon the graphic images we insert in the live streaming technology.

Who is going to be the host(s)

Live Streaming to prospects is best served by using multiple people within your organisation.  It can be hard work for an audience to only listen to one person and the objective is to connect with different people with different personalities within your organisation.

If everyone was too scared to appear in front of a live camera, then we’ll engage some actors, it is show business after all.

If your team are used to delivering webinars, then they should be perfectly comfortable delivering a few sentences in a live stream.  The point is to communicate transparency and for your audience to see that your staff are enjoying themselves.  This is far easier when group of people are involved.

We have multiple offices so can we include other members of the team

Yes. And it doesn’t matter where they reside.  Our technology will enable team members from anywhere in the world to become part of the live show wherever they live.

There are various ways to achieve this as you may have already experienced in using Teams® or Zoom®, however, your live show must maintain the best possible quality of delivery (subject to available broadband) and as such, we will send the necessary cameras and connection components to the person and country involved.

During the show, they will be included on screen and able to present to the live audience as if they were in the same studio.

How long does a show take to shoot

We take two days.  One day to do a full technical and dress rehearsal and one day to deliver the full show.

How will this affect our staff, and do we need to provide support

The answer is it doesn’t and no, no one is needed from your team.  However, there are certain activities we undertake such as graphic design, motion graphic production and copywriting, all of which you may well have people inhouse who can undertake these tasks and therefore it may be advantageous to use your resources instead of paying us.

Who writes the show and who says what

With our experience in sales and marketing and your expertise with your products and knowledge of your prospects and customers, it really is a joint effort to ascertain the right tone-of-voice that will resonate with the audience.

Once we get a feel for your business, we will compile a framework and work with your presenters (salespeople) to direct them to deliver the right content.

Our staff are nervous about streaming live!

Some people are up for a challenge and some not so much.  It’s highly likely those who have conducted webinars and also multiple Zoom or Teams meetings will be perfectly happy with the whole live stream strategy.

I believe once they see the overall professionalism of delivery and the expectation that people, prospects and customers want to experience the ‘authentic’ you, anyone who is taking a turn in front of the camera will find it an enjoyable experience

Are the shows recorded

Yes, we record all the shows simultaneously as they are being broadcast which means they can be saved and uploaded on your website, via YouTube and or Vimeo and the originals will stay on LinkedIn.  At the moment, there is a limit of ten minutes for a video upload, but live streams are allowed to be longer.

Can the show be edited

Yes.  The technology we use enables us to change cameras, transitions and upload complete transcripts to ensure accurate subtitles or closed captions as they’re called.  This also ensures that Google can crawl the transcript and index the live stream for the search engines.

What is Show Flow

Show flow is the sequencing we apply to the countdown, intro video, welcome message, and each of the 20+ possible segments of the show.  We decide in advance which camera or cameras are pointing where, what the background needs to be if we’re using green screen and where we’re going to connect to if we’re introducing an external guest.

Podcasts!

In the same way the show can be edited, we take the audio from each show, remaster it and upload the audio as a podcast.  It may require us to top-and-tail it with an introduction, but the best thing about it is that it is the beginning of your business exposure to a different audience who may well prefer listening to podcasts on their way to work or on smart speakers such as Alexa, Google, Siri or Sonos.
