FAQ - sX Launch - Why make the effort?
There is a great deal of information contained in the download brochure explaining the various aspects and elements of a launch event. However, events are completely variable. You're already aware that you can spend as much or as little on a promotional event, ranging from the venue to the food to the give-a-ways and to the speakers.
All we can do here is make some sensible suggestions as to the best way to approach your event.
We ensure that planning and forethought is paramount. The objective is for you and your team to meet and greet a new group of prospective customers who you will get to present to, uninterrupted, for 30-40 minutes. It may even be advantageous to have representatives from your suppliers on hand to provide demonstrations or short presentations.
Your staff will attend the tables and be on-hand to answer questions, whilst the silver service staff will serve food and drinks. We recommend the event takes place at a venue local to your offices/customers. And that it is centred around lunchtime. Allow approximately two to three hours which will give everyone the opportunity to return to their offices in the afternoon or stay a little longer.
As we're sure you appreciate, the cost of a launch can vary from offering a cheese sandwich and a copffee to canapes and drinks, followed by a full sit-down silver-service lunch with wine.
The real question is going ot be all about your prospects and you. How old they are, what type of product you have on offer and what type of impression you want to give. If you were to invite say fifty people to an event at a local hotel, then spending about £5,000 could be about right.
You also have to think about the 'give-a-ways', the amount and type of drinks, speakers, exhibition stads and so on. That said, we always suggest that a full and comprehensive plan is laid out and accurately priced, with the exact costs provide by the hotel.
